Jennifer El Mekkaoui joined the firm in June 2019 as an Associate in the Orlando office. With thirteen years in law firm and corporate settings, Mr. El Mekkaoui brings a depth of experience. Since 2015 Ms. El Mekkaoui has focused her practice on first party homeowners insurance claims and now counsels, defends, and litigates matters for national and local insurance carriers in state and federal courts. She assists clients in the investigation of claims, provides coverage opinions and litigates first party insurance claims.
Before joining the firm, Ms. El Mekkaoui represented both insurance carriers and their insureds in disputes involving first party homeowners insurance claims. Ms. El Mekkaoui has experience assisting carriers in coverage determinations, conducting examinations under oath, and providing coverage evaluations of complex insurance claims. She has litigated and defended cases brought against insurers in courts throughout the State of Florida.
Ms. El Mekkaoui has also been a Professor of Legal Studies and Adjunct Faculty at University of Central Florida.
Ms. El Mekkaoui has been appointed and served 6 years on two Florida Bar standing committees; Florida Bar Journal/News Editorial Board and Student Education & Admissions to the Bar. While in law school, Ms. El Mekkaoui was selected to the service organization Bar & Gavel Society as well as served on the executive board for the Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity.
