Jessica A. Orenstein joined the firm in July 2019 as an Associate. Ms. Orenstein focuses on defense of first and third party insurance claims and commercial litigation including personal injury and medical malpractice actions.
Before joining the firm, Ms. Orenstein primarily represented injured parties against individual tortfeasors and corporate entities in premises liability and automobile negligence suits and medical providers in first party actions against automobile insurance companies to recover underpaid or wrongfully denied personal injury protection benefits. She also has experience in litigating employment discrimination, wrongful termination and unpaid wage claims.
While in law school, Ms. Orenstein clerked at an established insurance defense firm where she gained hands on experience in defending third party claims. She also worked as a student attorney at FSU College of Law’s Children’s Advocacy Center where she assisted in the defense of juvenile criminal matters. During her undergraduate studies, Ms. Orenstein was actively involved in her sorority, Chi Omega, and a member of the Women’s Student Association. She acted as treasurer for Alpha Kappa Delta Honor Society and was inducted into Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society.
