Rick Briggs joined the firm in August 2018 as an Associate in the Tampa office. Mr. Briggs focuses his practice on representing, counseling, defending, and litigating matters for national and local insurance carriers and their insureds in state and federal courts. He assists clients in disputes involving first party property and general liability.
Mr. Briggs was a member of the Men’s Golf Team at St. Leo University from 2008-2013.
Before joining the firm, Mr. Briggs began his legal career at one of Florida’s largest law firms. Mr. Briggs represented both insurance carriers and their insureds in disputes involving both first party and third party insurance claims. He litigated and defended cases brought against insurers and their insureds in courts throughout the State of Florida.
While in law school, Mr. Briggs served on the Executive Board for The Florida Moot Court Team and as a Teaching Assistant for Legal Writing and Appellate Advocacy. As a law student, Mr. Briggs was a member of The First District Appellate American Inn of Court and a Research Assistant for Professor Michael Olexa.
