ABOUT
Maria C. Medina is a partner in the Miami office, having joined the firm in September of 2020. Mrs. Medina focuses her practice on evaluating, defending, and litigating both first party insurance claims (homeowners and commercial) up and through jury verdicts and third party liability claims including personal injury, products liability, and premises liability cases in state and federal courts throughout Florida.
EXPERIENCE
Before joining the firm, Mrs. Medina gained vast experience in the representation of insurance carriers in state and federal courts in disputes involving first party homeowner’s and commercial insurance claims. Mrs. Medina has extensive experience in pre-suit fraud investigations, coverage analysis and evaluations as well as experience in third party claims including wrongful death, personal injury, construction defects, premises liability and negligent security. Throughout her career, she has litigated a number of civil suits from inception through verdict in both state and federal courts. Additionally, Mrs. Medina successfully managed her own practice representing individuals and entities in a variety of civil and transactional matters, including labor and employment, family law, real estate and criminal defense.

Mrs. Medina was appointed to the Florida Property and Casualty Insurance Fraud Task Force, Claims Committee, where she served for several years. In addition, she was an active member of the Florida Insurance Fraud Education Committee (FIFEC) and the Florida Advisory Committee on Arson Prevention (FACAP).
