ABOUT

DeArica joined Simon, Reed, and Salazar in 2021 as a law clerk in the Miami Office and became an associate in 2022. DeArica grew up in Louisiana and later attended Louisiana State University, graduating with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Political Science. DeArica moved to New Orleans to attend law school at Loyola University New Orleans, College of Law.

While in law school, DeArica was selected as a member of the Danny and Mary Becnel Trial Advocacy Program where she competed in the Loyola University College of Law Trial Advocacy Intramural Competition. She also participated in Loyola’s Children’s Rights and Family Law Clinic as a student practitioner, assisting low-income residents obtain legal services. She graduated from Loyola University with certificates in International Legal Studies and Social Justice.

While completing her legal education, DeArica simultaneously gained experience in a variety of areas including Civil Rights, Disability Rights, and Family Law.

In her free time, DeArica enjoys her role as a Miami- Dade County Guardian Ad Litem Volunteer where she serves as an advocate for local children involved in various legal proceedings.
