ABOUT
James Harwood joined the firm in October 2020/Sept 2022 as an Associate in the Orlando Office. Mr. Harwood focuses his practice on counseling, defending, and litigating matters for national and local insurance carriers throughout the state of Florida. He assists in the investigation of claims, provides coverage opinions and litigates first party insurance claims.
EXPERIENCE
Before joining the firm, Mr. Harwood was the Chief Attorney for the Florida Division of Real Estate, where he prosecuted cases involving fraud and misrepresentation while overseeing the prosecution of a variety of cases throughout the state of Florida. After his work with the State of Florida, he managed a civil and criminal defense firm specializing in investigation and defense of individuals and businesses charged with violations of criminal, civil, and administrative laws from inception through trial or administrative hearing. Additionally, Mr. Harwood served as an Assistant Public Defender in Florida’s Eighteenth Judicial Circuit, where he tried numerous felony cases from inception through verdict.
