ABOUT
Marco A. Salazar joined the firm as a partner and shareholder in September 2011. Mr. Salazar is a trial attorney who represents clients throughout the state of Florida and focuses his practice in the areas of medical negligence, products liability, wrongful death, personal injury, professional negligence, premises liability and commercial litigation. In addition to counseling clients and litigating complex issues in his areas of focus, Mr. Salazar has extensive experience in crisis management and investigation of catastrophic incidents.
EXPERIENCE
Mr. Salazar represents large, successful, multifaceted corporations that excel in their respective fields. He has represented and counseled both domestic and international clients, including Fortune 500 companies. He often defends catastrophic tort injury cases with seven and eight figure demands or prayers for relief. He has litigated and tried claims for wrongful death, catastrophic personal injury, medical negligence, dental negligence, products liability, premises liability (including negligent security) as well as commercial cases involving contractual disputes to verdict.
Aside from his litigation and trial work, Mr. Salazar has conducted investigations of incidents and potential claims throughout Florida as well as other states. His belief is that early involvement and evaluation of an incident will set the tone for a successful resolution and where necessary, litigation and defense of a claim. He has investigated and counseled clients on numerous occasions as to incidents that involve multiparty injuries and significant potential exposure, as well as incidents involving less serious injuries where litigation is anticipated.

BACKGROUND
Mr. Salazar was born in Central America and migrated to the United States with his parents and sisters when he was six years old. At the age of ten his family moved to Miami, the place he considers home. Mr. Salazar attended Christopher Columbus High School, a prestigious all-boys college preparatory school in Miami Dade County, where he played varsity soccer.
After attending college at the University of Central Florida, Mr. Salazar returned to Miami to attend law school at St. Thomas University School of Law. During law school, Mr. Salazar was the Vice President of the Moot Court Board and attended two national moot court competitions. After graduating from law school, Mr. Salazar began practicing law in Miami, always focused on the same areas of law which he practices now. Mr. Salazar began trying cases immediately upon graduating law school and passing the Bar, trying numerous cases in his first years as a lawyer, including taking his first case to verdict only a few weeks after passing the Bar.
